A Shared Journey of Faith & Service
Wes & Esther Shaw
For more than six decades, Wes and Esther Shaw have walked side by side in marriage, ministry, business, and service to others. Their story includes worship, teaching, community outreach, leadership, and a lifelong desire to help people know Christ more deeply. They continue to encourage families, individuals, small groups, and house churches with resources offered freely and with love.

Originally from Mexico, Esther Shaw is a gifted artist, worship leader, and faithful financial steward. She is also a strong advocate for healthy eating and healthy living, and throughout her life she has been a full partner in the many ministries, businesses, and service efforts she and Wes have shared together.
Dr. Wes Shaw is a graduate of Wheaton College and holds a PhD in economics. Wes and Esther have been married for over 60 years and have built a remarkable life side by side. Together they have owned and operated a tent-making business, ran a karate school, raised three beautiful children, and are now blessed with 11 grandchildren – with a growing number of great-grandchildren as well.
Before entering full-time ministry, Wes also distinguished himself in karate competition and instruction, reflecting the discipline, leadership, and commitment that would later shape so much of his work in business, ministry, and teaching.
In midlife, Wes and Esther committed their lives fully to Jesus Christ, and that decision shaped everything that followed. Together they taught Sunday school, pastored a church, served as chaplains in the inner city, and ministered in jail. Wes later became an adjunct professor at the International Bible College of Jerusalem in Israel, with Esther assisting alongside him. Combined, they have written five books and recorded six music CDs, all flowing from a lifelong desire to help others know Christ more deeply.
Their service also extended into community leadership and outreach. Ozzie Mitchell and Wesley Shaw fought for respect, racial harmony, and the poor through their work at the Peter Claver Refuge. Ozzie served as director, and Wes served as a board member for more than 40 years, continuing faithfully in that role until Ozzie’s death in 2019.

Now in their 80s, Wes and Esther continue to serve through worship, teaching, and leadership training. The Shaws lead a small Christian fellowship and produce a podcast and growing library of music and Bible teaching resources designed to help individuals, families, small groups, home fellowships, and house churches. Their heart is to make worship and sound Biblical teaching more accessible to people wherever they are.
All of their material is offered freely, with the prayer that it will strengthen believers, encourage families, support home fellowships, and bless all who use it.

Amen.
